Sometimes you need to stop and think about the simple things in life, such as your water heater repairs. For many homeowners, having a reliable hot water supply is vital for their day-to-day lives. Repairing a water heater can make or break your comfort level with regards to taking a shower or cleaning dishes after dinner. Taking care of this appliance will ensure that it stays durable and efficient for years to come!
Here are some quick tips to help you take better care of your water heater repair:
Keep an eye out for leaks – One of the most common reasons that people require a repair is because they have hard water leaking into the unit. Hardness minerals build up over time inside these appliances, raising the operating temperature inside and ultimately leading to an early end for your water heater. If you notice a little bit of water around the bottom of your unit, don’t panic; it’s probably nothing worse than the condensation from your hot shower. However, if you regularly see puddles or small trickles, contact a professional like us right away!
Schedule regular cleanings – One relatively simple way to maintain your repair is to regularly clean off any minerals that have built up over time. Without proper maintenance and cleaning, hard water can easily cause damage to internal components and affect overall performance quality in the long run. Schedule quarterly cleaning to ensure that this doesn’t happen!

Repair or replace a water heater?

It can be a tough decision. And if you’re not careful, you could end up spending thousands of dollars on repairs that don’t solve the problem.

The choice is yours to make. But consider these factors:

• How old is your water heater? If it’s more than 10 years old and hasn’t been well maintained, it may be time for a replacement. A new unit will come with an average warranty of 12 years and at least 50% more energy-efficient than older models. So even if your current unit is doing its job adequately, you’ll likely still save money in the long run by buying a new one.

• Are you having trouble staying hot-water? If so, it’s time to replace your current system. But first, try the quick fixes outlined below.

• Are you having trouble getting hot water? A new water heater will deliver more energy-efficient performance at a lower cost than repairing an older unit that hasn’t been properly maintained. Consider the EPA Energy Star ratings when buying your next system—they reflect how efficient each model is and can help reduce your utility bills over time.

• Will replacing your current unit be difficult? If you’re planning on installing a tankless water heater, you’ll likely run into some problems if the existing gas line or electrical outlet isn’t up to code (see tip, “How to Replace Your Current  boiler” below). So consider the cost of hiring a professional to handle the job for you.

• Can you wait? If your current unit is leaking or making strange noises, then it’s best to replace it. But if everything seems to be working just fine, consider waiting until next season . That way, you’ll avoid paying for unnecessary repairs and avoid living through all the hassles that come with installing a new unit. But don’t forget the old adage: “An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.” If you can catch potential problems early on—say by replacing an aging unit before it completely fails—it will save you time and money in the long run.

Don’t let it run dry – The one thing you should never do with a water heater repair is allowed it to run dry. Water helps to lubricate internal components and remove any sediment that may be present; if you run your unit without any water, you’re asking for serious damage! Most units have an automatic shutoff built-in so they don’t operate without any source of heat, but accidents can still happen.
Make sure the temperature is appropriate – Many people assume that their hot water heater fixes does not need an adjustment or upgrade, even though this appliance has been around for decades and hasn’t changed much since then. If you notice that your water doesn’t seem particularly hot after using it for a few minutes, contact us right away. You’ll want to set the temperature no lower than 120 degrees Fahrenheit to prevent overheating and ensure that all internal components are working properly. We have helped the community of Brushy Creek Sports Park with their water heater repair

This park is located at 2310 Brushy Creek Rd, Cedar Park, TX 78613.

I’ve gotten several calls about the Sports Park in Brushy Creek on C.R. 431. The caller wanted to know what they were planning to do with it now that Williamson County is running it instead of Cedar Park.
Well, I think they are planning on making it a community center for athletics and other outdoor activities like soccer and baseball, but my email tells me that there is not much going on with this place right now because all of their funding was cut off last year.
The county is currently looking into putting some money back into this project so that they can run programs (like sports camps) at the park again, but only time will tell if this will really happen or not.
Sorry people! I wish I had better news for you. If any of you readers know more about this place, please call the County and let them know that they have a lot of support from KXAN viewers to bring back programs here!
